U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card benefits

  • Earn unlimited cash back on business expenses

The U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card allows you to earn one of the highest cash back rates on gas you can find with a business credit card. Plus, you’ll get elevated cash back on a number of popular business spending categories:

    • 3% cash back at eligible gas stations and EV charging stations (purchases over $200 will only earn 1% cash back)
    • 3% cash back at eligible office supply stores
    • 3% cash back on eligible cellphone service providers
    • 3% cash back at eligible restaurants
    • 1% cash back on all other purchases

There’s no limit on how much cash back you can earn, which is rare for a business credit card. For example, The Ink Business Cash® Credit Card has a cap of $25,000 on its 5% and 2% cash back rates. Meanwhile, The Bank of America® Business Advantage Customized Cash Rewards Mastercard® credit card has a $50,000 spending cap per calendar year on its 3% and 2% cash back rates. Cash back can be redeemed for a statement credit or deposited to your U.S. Bank business checking, savings or money market account.

  • Valuable sign-up bonus

With the U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card, you’ll earn $750 in cash back — just spend $6,000 on the Account Owner's card in the first 180 days of opening your account.

This higher than sign-up bonuses from similar business credit cards that offer cash back rewards and a $0 annual fee. But what stands out is the generous amount of time you have to earn the bonus.

Many cards require you to reach the spend threshold within first three months or 90 days of card membership to earn the bonus. For example, with the Capital One Spark Cash Select, cardholders earn $500 Cash Back once you spend $4,500 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening.

  • Intro APR on purchases

The U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card helps you save if you’re planning to finance a large business purchase. You’ll get a 0% intro APR for 12 billing cycles on purchases. Then, a 18.24% to 27.24% variable APR will apply.

This is a solid intro APR for a business credit card, one that’s similar to offers from other business credit cards. For example, the U.S. Bank Business Platinum Card has a longer intro APR for 18 months on purchases and balance transfers, but you won’t get a rewards program.

  • Annual credit for software subscription expenses

The U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card offers a $100 annual statement credit for recurring software subscription expenses, like FreshBooks or Quickbooks. The credit will be automatically applied to your account after 11 consecutive months of eligible software service purchases made directly with a service provider. This is a unique perk that can help you save on business expenses each year.

U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card drawbacks

  • Modest rewards rate on general purchases

While the U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card offers a generous amount of cash back on purchases at gas stations, EV charging stations, office supply stores, cell phone service providers and restaurants, all other purchases only earn 1% cash back.

If your company spends a large amount in other categories, like travel, you may be able to get more bang for your buck with a flat-rate cash back card or a travel card. The American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card, Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card and the Capital One Spark Cash Select all offer higher rewards on general purchases.

See all of our top business travel credit cards.

  • No intro APR on balance transfers

The U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card offers an intro APR for 12 months on purchases followed by a 18.24% to 27.24% variable APR. But if you’re planning to transfer high-interest debt to this card, there’s no intro APR on balance transfers.

If you’re looking for a business credit card to use for a balance transfer, there are plenty of options available. For example, the U.S. Bank Business Platinum Card has an intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for 18 months followed by a 17.24% to 26.24% APR. There’s also the PNC Visa® Business Credit Card, which has an intro APR for 13 billing cycles for balance transfers followed by a 17.24% to 27.24% Variable APR.

The Ink Business Cash® Credit Card is another good option for a $0 annual fee business credit card. You’ll earn a higher sign-up bonus than the U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card, and there’s an excellent 5% cash back on purchases at office supply stores, internet, cable and phone services, as well as 2% cash back at gas stations and restaurants.

After you spend $25,000 in purchases each year, you’ll only earn 1% cash back. The U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card doesn’t have a cap on rewards.

Still, like the U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card, the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card is a good option for financing a large purchase. It offers a 0% Intro APR on Purchases for 12 months. Then, an ongoing APR of 17.74% - 25.74% Variable.

If you don’t want to manage spending categories, the Capital One Spark Cash Select is a good flat-rate cash back option. You’ll get 1.5% Cash Back on every purchase; 5% Cash Back on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel. Like the U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card, there’s no limit to how much cash back you can earn at the higher rate.

You can also earn a high sign-up bonus: $500 Cash Back once you spend $4,500 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening. However, you’ll need to have excellent credit to qualify for the card — plus, there’s no intro APR period on purchases or balance transfers with this card (see rates & fees).

Is the U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card right for you?

If you’re in the market for a small business credit card, the U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Visa® Business Card is a solid choice. In addition to offering cash back rewards in popular business spending categories, the $0 annual fee card comes with a long introductory APR on purchases. Plus, you receive more time to earn the sign-up bonus than some competing cards — which is great if you’re not planning to spend a large amount on business purchases right away.

But if you want to earn an even higher cash back rate in some popular business spending categories as well as a higher sign-up bonus, a card like the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card may be a better fit for you. Or, if you want to avoid keeping track of rewards categories altogether, a flat-rate cash back card like the Capital One Spark Cash Select may be a good choice.
