a friend is going to refinance is house with his lender. I heard about a couple of options a few years ago and am curious as to the validity of working in todays market.
1.) Paying bi-weekly instead of monthly gets 1 payment extra a year and can strasticly shorten the loan/interest/time on that loan.
2.) If you send in an "extra" payment seperate and mark it "principle only" it can drasticly reduce interest/loan/time on mortgage.
